About The Antique & Classic Car Club of Canada (ACCCC) Kent Region.
The Kent Region is one of 13 Regions of the Antique and Classic Car Club of Canada (A.C.C.C.C.).
The purpose of ACCCC is to further the interest and knowledge of historic, antique and classic vehicles and associated material and to encourage the ownership, restoration and preservation of such vehicles. It is not a prerequisite of the club that you own a vehicle to become a member. The membership fee is $50.00 per year
A little bit about our History
The Kent Region of the ACCCC was the brain child of John League who was already a board member of the parent organization. There were several people, all friends who enjoyed old cars, residing in the Blenheim, Ridgetown and Chatham area. Another fine local club formed in the “60’s” already existed, but John wished to see a family orientated club which supported the ACCCC to materialize.
A notice was printed up for anyone interested to gather at the home of one of the interested members. Our inauguration meeting was held April 18th 1980 over the garage of one of our members and it was here with official representation from the ACCCC that the Kent Region was formed. Our club with members from Chatham, Blenheim, Ridgetown and Thamesville to name a few, offers our members great friendship and an opportunity to enjoy fun touring while visiting so many interesting places along the way.
Kent ACCCC is a club built on friendship and our cars are the glue that holds us together. As we say, “Come for the cars, stay for the friendship.”
