Home of the Lakeside Classic Car Show.
Membership dues are $50. per year and this entitles each member to our region’s newsletter, the “Spark N Throttle”, and the A.C.C.C.C.’s national publication, “The Reflector”, published three times a year.
During the driving season, organized car oriented activities include four driving tours during the year plus an annual Touring Inspection in May, the Lakeside Car Show in July and a BBQ in August. In addition, there are informal tours and other occasions to get together.
During the off-season, we have our AGM in October and a Christmas Party in December. Meetings from January to May usually include an activity such as a speaker, a potluck supper or perhaps a slide show or auction. At the Touring Inspection, each member’s car must pass an inspection (covering such things as brakes, lights, tire condition, etc.) before it is allowed to tour as a group with the National Club.
The club hosts one of the largest and longest running car shows in the area, the “Lakeside Car Show” held each July in Victoria Park, Cobourg. This show is unique in that the emphasis is on stock (restored or original) vehicles, from pre-1999 all the way back to the teens. Through Lakeside, we are able to make a donation to a selected charity, currently “Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Center“.
We currently have members from Grafton, Port Hope, Cobourg, Belleville, Frankford and Trenton to name just a few.
