The Antique & Classic Car Club of Canada (ACCCC)
Nottawasaga Region.
Nottawasaga region is one of 13 Regions of the Antique and Classic Car Club of
Canada (A.C.C.C.C.). The purpose of
ACCCC is to further the interest and knowledge of historic, antique and classic
vehicles and associated material and to encourage the ownership, restoration
and preservation of such vehicles. It is not a prerequisite of the club that
you own a vehicle to become a member. The membership fee is $50.00 per year
A Little bit about our History
Around 1980 the Royal Bank transferred Blue Water member Bob Charlton to the Stayner
branch as manager. Bob and his wife had previously been active in Rideau
Lakes Region while station in Merrickville.
Bob and his wife missed the social life of the ACCCC so he and a few fellow car
enthusiasts got their heads together and came up with over 80 names of old car owners
in the Stayner, Creemore, Wasaga Beach and Collingwood areas. A notice was sent out inviting
them to meet in the late 1980 to gauge interest in forming a car club. As almost forty turned up,
it was decided to invite a representive of the ACCCC and HSAC. A vote was held and it was decided
we would form an ACCCC region called Nottawasaga after the local river, bay and township of that name.
With members from Collingwood, Stayner and Wasaga Beach to name but a few, our club offers our members great friendship and an opportunity to enjoy fun touring while visiting so
many interesting places along the way.
If you and your partner would like to have a choice of fun and interesting events to participate in each month of the year. And at least one of you is interested in older cars, especially as they came from the factory, and liking to eat helps. You would feel right at home with us.
Nottawasaga ACCCC is a club built on friendship
and our cars are the glue that holds us together. As we
say, "Come for the cars, stay for the friendship."
